Gabrielle Kannemeyer is a professional photographer based in Cape Town and The Overberg, South Africa. Her photography showcases the diverse and vibrant environment of her upbringing.
Born during apartheid and part of South Africa's first 'born-free' generation, she focuses on presenting people from marginalised communities across South Africa in a loving and positive light.
Her work highlights the unique stories and experiences of people living in communities she has created deep and meaningful connections with.
All proceeds from the sale of prints will go towards Gabrielle's long-term project documenting South African horse culture. Particularly towards facilitating an exhibition and purchasing cameras for the aspiring photographers in the community she is currently working with and living in in the Overberg.
